Daredevil, by Jonathan MacFarlane

Yeah, I'm late. I'm very slow at coloring in Photoshop. I'm slow because I hate it, and I hate it because I'm slow. It's a vicious cycle. Anyway, this was inspired by an old poster I found for a production of Faust.

See more of my stuff at FailureWhale.com. I make no promises of quality.

Daredevil 2

I was still playing with the idea of Daredevil today, and decided to turn it into another post. I skipped pencils, and instead sketched it out with a cheap, red pen and a black Sharpie. The suit and skin color were added digitally.

DareDevil by Jess Kirby

If this looks like a bunch of ripped up pieces of paper with DareDevil drawn on them, that's good, because that's what it is.  On the other side of these little pieces of ripped paper is one large drawing of "the man without fear", but I didn't like it so I ripped it up.  Instead of being wasteful I scribbled on the pieces of paper.   I figured I'd just go with all them, that way if you didn't like one you might like another one.

The Dare-Devil by Clayton Johnston

This was a lot of fun. I decided to go with a more light-hearted take on Daredevil, so I used his original costume and went with a circus poster theme.

I don't use a brush pen often, so this was a fun experiment. My friend Kevin Steele inspired me to try using one again, and I borrowed his method for rendering DD's whip.
