Poisoned Apple

Watercolor on recycled watercolor paper. I was originally going to do The Godfather Death, but I didn't like how it was turning out so I just went with Snow White's poisoned apple.

SGT. Rock

Watercolor on recycled watercolor paper.  Poor guy looks tired here. I was re-reading some Our Army At War and I just got the feeling that Sgt. Rock would have to be so tired.  Being in charge of all the happy joes, saving lives, and giving out all that advice. Tough, but tired.

Tor - Joe Kubert Tribute - By Eryck Webb

In Memory of Joe Kubert, a cartoon/comic legend! Doing my best impression of JKubert style, love his work on Tor - check it out. For a look at the process of this piece visit the EWG website

Earth by Jess Kirby

Is there anyone more earthy?
Pencil on recycled Bristol.
I need to clean my scanner too.

Fire by Jess Kirby

The Human Torch is demonstrating man's biggest problem with being able to fly. Humans should just not fly, there are no rest stops in the air.

Soldier

A generic Vietnam War soldier, drawn in Procreate on my iPad. I wasn't the biggest Joe Kubert fan, but I certainly appreciate his importance to comics in general, and war comics specifically. I never really much cared for his super-hero stuff, but he was the best in the business of drawing war and soldiers. A comic written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Joe Kubert probably would've been pretty close to perfect.

Earth by Eryck Webb

Continuing the fun theme of 'female elements' or something like that. Eitherway very refreshing and relaxing to just do something female, and whimsicle in the given theme... good stuff! - http://eryckwebb.blogspot.com

This Week's Theme: Earth

Posting Period: 8/7-8/13

Namorita by Michael Powell

I finished this one up last night, and it seemed like a good fit for the "water" theme. You can find the uncensored version at http://michaelpowellart.tumblr.com.

Water by Eryck Webb

Decided I wanted to draw girls in the theme of Water, and next for the theme of Fire - and do them lineless. A aesthetic style I'm always intrigued to play with. Alright, here she is.
