This Week's Theme: IDW Publishing

Posting Period: 12/30-1/7

Cecil Stedman by Michael Powell

The Dragon & the Turtle

Unlike many other guys , my favourite Image creator , was Erik Larsen perhaps is not gifted like , say, Jim Lee or Marc Silvestri , but his book were the most fun .
The SAVAGE DRAGON / TMNT  one-shot team up was one of my favourite Image books , and this week's theme gave me the chance to draw my first ever SD ; I tried  to give him a "tough cop" rather than a superhero look  , so he's tall like a normal person I didn't want to draw a copy of "THE HULK" with a fin on his bald head ...
WHat do you think ?

Fatale

I'm a fan of Image's Fatale and I'm happy it is now going to be an ongoing title.  Here's my attempt at drawing Jo.  Ink on recycled bristol.

"Image" Extension

We're a little behind because of the holidays, so we're going to extend our Image Comics theme until Sunday. Thanks!

Gator

I had fully intended on colouring this in Manga Studio or Photoshop, but I have no patience for either one.  This is a gator, which will probably end up in a comic I'm working on with Rolando Garcia.

Headless Horseman by Jess Kirby

I'm in love with the Snicker's commercial with the horseless headsman, but I thought I'd go more traditional and just do the headless horseman. Talley ho bitches!

Magneto by Jess Kirby

Charcoal and gesso and one big fun messo.

This Week's Theme: Halloween

Posting Period: 10/24-10/31

Mr. Sinister By: Aaron Walls

Sinister was always one of my favorite villains. he's pretty much the X-men's Dr. Doom Though I always found it odd that for a while his main goal was to have Scott and Jean make a baby (Which probably would have happened a lot sooner if he would have left them alone for a while) Still the Dark mysterious puppet master with one of the best visual aesthetics in comics makes for an awesome villain.

This Week's Theme: X-Men Villains

Posting Period: 10/17-10/23

Bat Villians TWO-FACE!!

Quick digital doodle of Two Face in Manga Studio.

Spider-Man Villains Hobgoblin

I've always been a fan of the Hobgoblin. Probably because he was around when I was a kid. It seemed like everyone knew who the Hobgoblin was and a lot of kids wanted to be him for Halloween. This is just ink on recycled bristol.

Bat Villains Mr. Freeze

I was hoping to have more time to do something different, but I didn't so you're stuck with my Mr. Freeze scribble.  I wanted to try out liquid pencil and so I did. This is liquid pencil on newsprint, that's why it looks so wrinkly. The liquid pencil is kind of fun. It dries like pencil, but you paint with it so I'm thinking this is going to be a good way for me to practice drawing with a paint brush to get better at inking.

DC Elseworlds

Wasn't sure what to do for this one so I drew General Zod and his cronies on their way to the Phantom Zone passing by Bizarro World along the way.

Tangent Universe Green Lantern By:Aaron Walls

I was really excited when the Tangent Universe Launched it felt like it might have been DC's approach to the then very you Marvel Ultimate U but a bolder and slightly riskier take on how to interpret familiar characters.

Lieutenant Uhura by Jess Kirby

Still practising the brush pen on recycled bristol. I'm not near good enough with it so I used a Micron pen and a ruler on some of the buttons and windows.
I don't know much about Star Trek so I just went with the hot chick. I made up a bunch of the buttons. Hope I don't offend any die hard fans by doing so.

Angel by Jess Kirby

Brush pen on recycled bristol. I'm still trying to figure out the brush pen.  I'm really bummed at my ill placed line in this one, otherwise this one was fun.
